✨Deck-Construction✨

Embarking on a new adventure can be thrilling. It can be daunting. It can bring about a certain anxiousness. It's all about to begin!

Even though this won't be our only time delving into deck-construction during our journey through Middle-Earth, but it IS one of the more exciting instances of it.

So many decisions to be made. No soul is beaten down by the weight of the adventure ahead. It still feels like friends getting together for a field trip to an unexplored landscape!

Many ideas and cards are scattered about the table, questions asked about how we want the party to feel. Who's doing the bulk of the fighting? Who will quest for us? How will we overcome the encounter decks that lie in wait? These are just a few that run through our heads.

Elisabeth wanted to do the fighting and protecting this go around and so chose, (Tactics) Aragorn and Gimli, as well as (Spirit) Legolas.

I (Elijah) chose to play around with Secrecy and to also be thematic, chose (Leadership) Sam, (Lore) Pippin, and (Tactics) Merry.

The first scenario of the saga is one of my favorites, running from the Black Riders, and rightly so, always eager to begin after finishing our decks.

Elisabeth chose Gold Dragon Shield sleeves, and I chose Green (it reminded me of the Shire)

Our spirits are high as we begin this journey, but Mount Doom is a long ways off. May our fellowship hold fast against the coming threats. ✨
