❓Question of the Week: What mechanic in a game have you found refreshing lately?

This week we still played a ton of tabletop Miniature war/skirmish games, but we also played the Metal Gear Solid board game. Full transparency up front: We love it.

This is a STEALTH game without having to be hidden movement and that is so fantastic. You truly are having to sneak around and when you are seen it gets much tougher to get back into hiding.

Cleverly making sounds to distract the guards and reach your objective is extremely satisfying when you get it just right.

I can't wait to get these painted up as there is a good amount of minis in the box (and yes, there is even a "box" miniature 😆). The campaign feels doable and not too long, and there are even a handful of VR missions (one shot) missions for those who want to better their skills without being tied to a campaign. We're eager to play more and can't wait to try our hand at more stealth/boss missions in the coming weeks!
